The Specialist Assessment
The specialist assessment is the first appointment with Dr Raindi and generally lasts 45 - 60 minutes. He will first find out your main concerns and what you wish to achieve from treatment. You will be asked to complete a medical history form and answer some questions relevant to your gum health.
Following this you will have a comprehensive gum health assessment which includes a detailed charting of the gums. This involves gently probing around the gums to determine the status of your gum health – we will aim to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during this stage of the assessment.
Dental x-rays will often be taken to provide further information on the bone levels around the teeth and clinical photographs will be taken for your records. Once we have obtained all the relevant clinical information you will be asked to relax in our waiting area for 5-10 minutes whilst Dr Raindi assesses your case in detail and puts together a tailored plan to meet your needs.
Dr Raindi will then talk through and explain the reasons for the plan and the processes involved, including timeframes. You will also be provided with a breakdown of treatment fees so you are fully aware of the investment required for your recommended plan. You will be able to book your appointments on the day of the assessment.
Finally, after the consultation you will be sent a bespoke treatment report and if you have been referred, a separate report will be sent to your referring clinician.
If you have any questions during or after the treatment process you are always welcome to contact Dr Raindi at the clinic you are being seen at.
